Arboriculture
In the Pacific Northwest, it’s easy to take trees for granted. We have some of the tallest trees in North America and, even in and around our cities, they seem to be a constant presence. While there will always be initiatives to reforest or plant new trees, more and more people are starting to recognize the importance of protecting the established and old growth trees that are all around us.
Trees are the backbone of everything we do. Our arboricultural work is front and center in our design work and extends to forest restoration, core sampling, and structural pruning, among other services. We have also perfected unique, organic systems to protect trees during new construction or on any active building site. This includes advising and mapping out impact zones and determining critical root structures within construction areas of transportation paths. All our techniques are rooted in preservation, sustainability, and ISA guidelines.
